We've just confirmed two additional dates
in 2010 for the West Louisville Hoot 'n Holler in the Good Time Theater
at Diamond Lake Resort: October 16 and November 20. Our host
band for the October 16 date will be Grizzly Mountain Revival an
Americana/Alternative Country group from the Owensboro area.
August 25
In addition to the Starfinder Opry,
Starfinder Entertainment is bringing a new show to the Good Time Theater
at Diamond Lake Resort - the West Louisville Hoot 'n Holler! The
show will feature live acoustical music covering many genres including
Bluegrass, country, Americana, western swing, cowboy, folk and
more. Our first show is Saturday, September 18, and the bluegrass
group King's Highway will be the host band. Individuals and groups
are invited to participate in the Open Mic segment of the show.

If you haven't made plans for this evening,
we suggest that you take a drive down to the Kentucky
Opry at Draffenville which is about 4 miles south of Kentucky Dam
Village State Resort Park at Kentucky Lake just off I-24. Tara
will be performing her tribute to Dolly Parton and Travis may just walk
out on stage looking a lot like Kenny Rogers, a younger version, of
course. A great place to eat before the show is Patti's
1880's Settlement at Grand Rivers. Dinner reservations are
suggested.

One of our Opry customers has two tickets
to the George Jones concert at the Renfro Valley Music Center on
September 25 that she is not going to be able to use and would like to
sell them. These are 4th row seats and have a face value of $56.00
each. The pair of tickets can be purchased from her for $100 which
is a savings of $12. If you are interested, contact us at

If you were not at the Starfinder Opry last
night, you missed a great show. Travis Estes, Tara Estes, Josh
Helms, and Savana Poole were our featured guests and all did a great
job. We had a excellent audience that showed their appreciation
with much applause and vocal exultation. Thanks to the Blue
Diamond Band and Starlite Singers for their support and contribution in

We had a great rehearsal this evening for
Saturday night's show. If you like a lot of variety in your
country music, you will surely find it at the Starfinder Opry on
Saturday; e.g., classic and contemporary country, bluegrass, western
swing, and even a cowboy song for good measure. August

The Starfinder Opry welcomes Toni Garland
as a member of the show's cast. Toni will join Donna Clark and
Audra Green as a Starlite Singer, and she, Donna Clark, and Roger Smith
will fill out the background vocals on the show.

Someone just called and reminded us that
the show time was not indicated on the web site. Shows start at
7:30 p.m. and the ticket booth for sales and pick up opens two hours
prior to the show. We do hold back a section at the rear of the
theater for general admission tickets so that anyone arriving without a
reservation should be able to be seated.

Goldie and Charlie Payne celebrated their
twenty-sixth anniversary this evening at the Miller House restaurant
with Jim and Janie Mason. Goldie and Charlie were married on
August 4, 1984 on the stage of the original Goldie's Best Little
Opryhouse in Kentucky which was then located at 117 Daviess Street in
Owensboro, the site of the present day RiverPark Center. August

Rollie Pike, who headlined on the
Starfinder Opry on June 8th, tied with Andy Brasher in the Battle For
The Big O Finale last night in the Good Time Theater at Diamond Lake for
the opportunity to be an opening act at the Big O Festival at Reid's
Orchard on Friday, August 13. Tickets are available through TicketMaster
and range in price from $19.50 to $55.00. Congratulations to
Rollie, and we hope to hear his original song "Pick Me" on the
national charts in the near future! July

Lawson will be singing at First Free Will Baptist Church at 4314 West
5th Street Road, Owensboro, KY this morning. The worship
service starts at 11:00 a.m. If you have been to our last two
shows at the Starfinder Opry then you already know that their harmony is

We are back from our week-long vacation in
Texas, and the seating chart for the August 14 show has been
updated. We are getting caught up on our ticket orders that came
in last week, and if you have not yet reserved your tickets for the next

We had another super show at the Starfinder
Opry last night! Headliner Amy-Beth Mason as well as our other
guests, Straight Laced and Ariel Ramsey, gave an outstanding
performance. All of our regular cast including the Blue
Diamond Band and Starlite Singers were awesome, and Goldie Payne was at
the top of her game on vocals and as emcee! Thanks to all who had
a hand in another successful and well-received show!
